About this mod
This mod makes Dog just as capable a fighter as any other companion.
- Permissions and credits
This mod alters Dog to make him just as capable a fighter as any other companion.
-Important Note-
This mod requires a new save for the changes to Dog's base stats to work.
Changes to abilities and specializations are retroactive, and new levels gained will have the proper changes (such as more stamina and skills).
-Details-
Dog now starts with the typical 100 Stamina instead of 50.
He now acquires a comparatively balanced 5 Stamina per level instead of 4.
For the sake of balance, a bit of realism, and to better cement his role he now starts with 45 Defense (the same as a Warrior) instead of 55.
He now gains Skills at the same rate as other characters, and has access to the skills Survival, Combat Specialization and Combat Tactics.
He now acquires abilities at the same rate as other characters, and has access to new abilities and specializations, including:
3rd line of Dog abilities, consisting of Sunder Arms > Indomitable > Cripple > Combat Movement.
Access to all Warrior base abilities and Specializations.
His offensive abilities have been rebalanced:
Overwhelm now has a cooldown of only 30 seconds, but costs 10 additional Stamina.
Charge now has a cooldown of 15 seconds, but costs 5 additional Stamina.
Shred now has a cooldown of 10 seconds.
Dread Howl now has a cooldown of 30 seconds.
-Compatibility-
This mod is not compatible with any others that alter the Dog class or abilities through ABI_base.gda or CLA_base.gda, nor any that alter the first skill of Survival, Combat Specialization or Combat Tactics through ABI_base.gda.
-Updates-
1.1: Drastic changes to how specializations and abilities are granted to allow full functionality with Dog, and new 3rd line of Dog abilities added.
1.0b: Fixed an oversight that prevented Dog from actually gaining access to the Warrior specializations.
-Known Issues-
Once Dog learns a specialization, Dog's known specializations shown in the character sheet menu will have a blank icon without tooltip information. This should not have any effect on functionality.
